Will it make my living room dark?
That’s the reason most people never cover their patio, and in December it’s a fair worry. American Patio Covers use Acrylite panels, so daylight comes straight through and rain doesn’t. Your patio and living room stay bright, even under a gray Northwest sky.
Will it turn yellow and cloudy?
Cheap plastic panels do. American Patio Covers use a different material, engineered to resist yellowing. Cleaning takes a hose and about 2 minutes, which matters from October through January when everything in your yard ends up on top of it.
Will it be hot under there in summer?
Fair question, since you’re buying this in the dead of winter for a patio you’ll sit under in July. These panel are built for heat and glare, and your estimator goes over the options for your sun exposure at the free estimate, so you choose the setup before anything gets built.
