Care & Maintenance of Your Vinyl Fence

A Vinyl fence is beautiful and extremely low maintenance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The maintenance required on your vinyl fence is next to nothing. Just some general cleaning with soap and
water is sufficient to keep your vinyl fence clean and sparkling. Since it does not change or lose it’s color, there
is no need to paint it. You do not have to apply any primer or protect it from rust. There is also no danger of
rotting or termite attacks when you have vinyl fencing.

Cleaning:

Decide whether you will be using a bucket of soapy water, a vinyl cleaning solution (can be purchased at
your local hardware store), or a combination of both. If you are using a bucket of soapy water you will
want to fill the bucket with water and mix an environmentally safe cleaning solution. Wipe down the areas
of fence that require cleaning with a wet soft cloth.

For more difficult areas, use a soft scrub brush. When you are finished cleaning an area of fence, rinse it off with a water hose and allow it to air dry. If you are using a spray bottle of vinyl cleaning solution, just spray the areas of fence that need cleaned and wipe with a dry soft cloth.

For maximum results you should clean your vinyl fence at least once every 3-6 months.
