Care & Maintenance of Your Wood Deck

Regular maintenance will preserve your wood deck for years.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect wood decking to bring a classic and natural look to your outdoor area. Wood can be susceptible to elements
like moisture and insects. It is normal to see fading in color, shrinking, and cracking of wood decking. If your new deck
is built with a wood substructure, expect movement from the natural characteristics of wood such as: bowing,
cracking, warping, etc.

You may notice some of this movement reflected on the deck surface due to the wood
substructure underneath moving. This movement is to be expected and is not covered under our Lifetime
Workmanship Warranty. Never hesitate to reach out to us to make sure what you’re seeing isn’t structurally
concerning.
